MARSHALL, Minn. After scoring 31 runs in the first two games of the 2012 season, the Marshall A's showed they can win with pitching and defense as well. The A's edged out Pipestone on Saturday afternoon 4-2.

Zach Olson (1-0) went the distance in his first career start on the mound for the A's. Olson gave up just two runs, striking out five along the way without walking anyone.

Ryan Engels, Tyler Flattum, Kyle Young, and Cody Curry each had a pair of hits for the A's.

The A's travel to Minneota on Sunday night to square off against the Mudhens. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
