A's Fall to Saints, 6-5

MARSHALL, Minn. The Marshall A's lost their first game of the year on Wednesday night, falling 6-5 to the Sacred Heart Saints. Jordon Kontz (1-1) gave up four runs in relief of starter Ben Korger to take the loss.

Andrew Kinney homered in his second straight game, giving him four on the season. Kinney went 2 for 4 on the evening.

Chace Pollock, Zach Olson and Kontz each had a pair of hits.

The A's left a whopping 15 runners on base on the night, failing to capitalize on many run scoring opportunities.

The A's will travel to Belle Plaine this weekend to compete in the annual TigerTown tourney. The A's are looking to 3-peat as champions. Marshall takes on the Freeport Black Sox on Friday night. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 pm.
