A's Blanked in TigerTown Opener
Nate Dickhausen

BELLE PLAINE, Minn. The Marshall A's quest to 3-peat as TigerTown Classic champions ended on Friday night as the A's fell 2-0 to the Freeport Black Sox in the first round. Nate Dickhausen (3-1) pitched well for the A's, giving up just three hits and a walk. But two earned runs was the difference as the A's bats were silenced.

Andrew Kinney was also on the end of some tough luck. The birthday boy left the game after getting his hand cleated when sliding into second, requiring stitches.

The A's will now play Belle Plaine in the loser's bracket of the TigerTown Classic on Saturday at 5:15 pm.
