A's Win 10th Straight, Clobber Rails 17-6

WILLMAR, Minn. Andrew Kinney belted his 8th homerun of the season, as the A's clobbered the Willmar Rails 17-6 in 7 innings for their 10th straight win on Thursday night.

Taylor Rignell (2-0) won his 2nd career start for the A's, going all 7 innings. Rignell struck out 6 batters, allowing 4 earned runs.

Kinney went 4 for 5 on the night, scoring 3 times and driving in a pair.

Rignell continued to ride a hot steak at the plate, smacking a pair of doubles in a 3 hit effort, driving in 4 runs and also scoring twice. Rignell is now 8 for 14 (.571) over his last 3 games with 3 doubles and 7 RBIs.

Jordon Kontz also drove in a season high 4 runs.

The A's will host the Raymond Rockets in Corn Belt League action on Friday night, looking to avenge a 1 run loss earlier in the season. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
