Wilhelmi Shuts Out Cyclones in 1-0 Win

COLD SPRING, Minn. Brandon Wilhelmi (6-1) was lights out on Saturday afternoon, going all 11 innings in a 1-0 win over the defending state B champion and Section 7B #1 seed Sauk Rapids Cyclones. Wilhelmi allowed just 3 hits in the dominating effort.

Knotted at 0-0 through 10 innings, the A's finally got on the board in the top of the 11th when Derek West singled home Zach Olson with 2 outs.

Wilhelmi's performance continued what has been a remarkable season the mound and dropped his ERA to a miniscule 0.93 on the year.

Chace Pollock and Kyle Young each had 2 hits for the A's.

The A's will battle #2 seed Cold Spring on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 pm. Winner qualifies for Super Sections while loser drops into the consolation bracket.
