Five Marshall A's errors led to 8 unearned runs on Sunday night as the A's lost a tough 10-7 battle to the Raymond Rockets.
Mason Penske (0-2) took the tough luck loss, giving up all ten Raymond runs in 6 2/3 innings. Penske struck out 7 batters on the night while allowing 7 hits and 4 walks.
The A's took a 6-5 lead in the 7th inning, but a nightmare bottom half of the stanza including five runs and three Marshall errors.
Ryan VanMoer threw the final 1 1/3 innings and did not allow a run.
Jordon Kontz led the A's attack with three hits and three RBIs.
The A's have now lost six in a row.
The A's will look to regroup on Wednesday night as they play host to the Sacred Heart Saints at 7:30 pm at Legion Field.
