The Marshall A’s moved its record to 3-3 overall with a 10-0 victory in seven innings over Wabasso on Wednesday night (June 4) at Legion Field. Liam Kruse, making his first A’s appearance of the season, tossed five shutout innings, allowing two hits with seven strikeouts and three walks to earn the victory. Logan Terfehr and Mitchell Bouwman each tossed one shutout inning of relief.
Marshall smacked out nine hits with Josh Kraft and Conner Neubeck each collecting two hits with Neubeck driving in three runs. Ryan Schwagel, Cooper Mensink, Peyton Grant, Noah Frazee and Zach Olsen each added one hit. Olsen’s two-run single in the seventh ended the game via run-rule. It was a special ‘game-ending’ hit for Olsen, who will be getting married on Friday afternoon.
Coby Brownlee scored two runs and had an RBI for the A’s, while AJ Toulouse walked three times. Marshall coaxed a total of 10 walks in the game.
Marshall continues home action on SATURDAY night, yes Saturday, at 7:30 p.m. versus the Willmar Rails. On Sunday, the A’s will play at the Milroy Yankees starting at 5 p.m.
